Adam Robert Oates, born August 27, 1962, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. He played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and Edmonton Oilers from 1985 to 2004. Renowned for his playmaking ability, Oates finished his career with a total of 1,079 assists, which was the fifth-highest total in NHL history at the time of his retirement. He also accumulated 1,337 games played and 1,420 points, the second highest among undrafted NHL players after Wayne Gretzky. Oates is recognized as one of the most skilled playmakers in hockey and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. In addition to his playing career, he has served as a coach; he was the head coach for the Washington Capitals and co-head coach for the New Jersey Devils. Before entering the NHL, Oates was a standout college player for the RPI Engineers, setting school records for assists and points and earning All-American honors in 1984 and 1985. He contributed to RPI's 1985 national championship and was named a tournament all-star. He was also included in the NHL's second All-Star team during the 1990-91 season and participated in five All-Star Games. In recognition of his achievements, Oates was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in 2017.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
