Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman was an English actor renowned for his work on stage and screen and for his deep and distinctive voice. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and began his career in theatre, performing in both classical and modern plays. Rickman received numerous awards and nominations throughout his career, including a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and an Actor Award. He was also nominated for two Tony Awards and a Laurence Olivier Award. His film debut was as the German criminal mastermind Hans Gruber in the 1988 action film Die Hard. He won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in 1991. Other notable films include Truly, Madly, Deeply, Sense and Sensibility, Michael Collins, Quigley Down Under, Dogma, Galaxy Quest, Love Actually, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland and its sequel, and Eye in the Sky. Rickman portrayed Severus Snape in all eight Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011. He directed two films, The Winter Guest and A Little Chaos. His television work included roles such as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Obadiah Slope in The Barchester Chronicles, and Grigori Rasputin in Rasputin: Dark Servant of Destiny, for which he received multiple awards. Alan Rickman passed away from pancreatic cancer on 14 January 2016 at the age of 69.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
