Andrew Steven Biggs, born on November 7, 1958, is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the U.S. representative for Arizona's 5th congressional district since 2017. The district, located in the East Valley, includes parts of Mesa, most of Chandler, all of Queen Creek, and the city of Gilbert, which is Biggs's hometown. Prior to his congressional tenure, Biggs served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011 and in the Arizona Senate from 2011 to 2017. He was the president of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017 and held the position of chairman of the Freedom Caucus from 2019 to 2022. Biggs is affiliated with the Republican Party and has been active in state and national politics for many years.
