About Ava
Ava Marie DuVernay is an American filmmaker known for her work across film and television. She has received numerous awards including two Primetime Emmy Awards, two NAACP Image Awards, a BAFTA Film Award, and a BAFTA TV Award. She is also a nominee for prestigious honors such as the Academy Award and Golden Globe. In 2011, DuVernay founded her independent distribution company ARRAY. Her directorial debut was with the film I Will Follow in 2010, and she gained notable recognition at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival for her second feature, Middle of Nowhere, where she became the first black woman to win the directing award in the U.S. dramatic competition. Her film Selma about Martin Luther King Jr. made her the first African-American woman nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Director. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. DuVernay has directed other significant projects including the documentary 13th which was nominated for an Academy Award, and A Wrinkle in Time, making her the first African-American woman to direct a film with a budget of 100 million dollars. In 2023, she directed the biographical film Origin based on Isabel Wilkerson's book Caste. Her television work includes the OWN drama series Queen Sugar and two Netflix limited series, When They See Us and Colin in Black & White. She was listed on the Time 100 list of the most influential people in 2017 and was elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences board of governors in 2020.

What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
