Blaine Anderson

Blaine Anderson is a fictional character from the television series Glee, portrayed by Darren Criss. Introduced in the second season, Blaine is the openly gay lead singer of the Dalton Academy Warblers, a show choir rival to New Directions. Initially serving as a mentor for Kurt Hummel, a relationship developed between the characters that was well received by fans and critics alike. Blaine later transferred to McKinley High and joined New Directions, becoming a main cast member. Criss auditioned several times for Glee before being cast, and he has stated that he relates to Blaine's confident and charismatic personality, which challenges common media portrayals of gay characters.
