Courtney Bernard Vance is an American actor born on March 12, 1960. He began his career on stage before transitioning to film and television. Vance trained at the Yale School of Drama and made his Broadway debut in the original production of August Wilson's Fences in 1985, which earned him his first Tony Award nomination. His theatre work includes performances in John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation and Nora Ephron's Lucky Guy, the latter of which garnered him a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. His film appearances include Hamburger Hill, The Hunt for Red October, The Tuskegee Airmen, The Preacher's Wife, Cookie's Fortune, and Isle of Dogs. On television, Vance portrayed Assistant District Attorney Ron Carver in the NBC series Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2001 to 2006. He has received multiple accolades, including a Tony Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and nominations for a Grammy Award, Golden Globe Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. Notably, he received Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Johnnie Cochran in the FX series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story and for his guest role as George Freeman in HBO's Lovecraft Country. Vance also played roles in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Genius: Aretha. He has been married to actress Angela Bassett since 1997, serves on the board of The Actors Center in New York City, supports Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and was appointed president of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation in 2019.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
