David Welch Pogue, born March 9, 1963, is an American technology and science writer and television presenter. He is known for his role as a correspondent on CBS News Sunday Morning. Pogue has hosted 18 Nova specials on PBS, including Nova ScienceNow, the Making Stuff series in 2011 and 2013, and Hunting the Elements in 2012. He has contributed to the popularization of science and technology through his work on television and in print. Pogue has authored or co-authored seven books in the For Dummies series and launched his own series of computer how-to books called the Missing Manual series in 1999, which now comprises more than 100 titles. His writings also include The World According to Twitter (2009) and Pogue's Basics (2014), a book that became a New York Times bestseller. In 2013, Pogue left The New York Times to join Yahoo! where he created a consumer-technology website. He returned to The Times in 2018 as the writer of the Crowdwise feature for the Smarter Living section, continuing his work in analyzing and explaining technology and its impact.

Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
