About Guy
Guy Standing, born on 9 February 1948, is a British labour economist and a professor of development studies at SOAS University of London and the University of London. He has contributed extensively to the fields of labour economics, active labour market policies, unemployment, labour market flexibility, structural adjustment programs, and social protection. Standing co-founded the Basic Income Earth Network in 1986 and is known for creating the term 'precariat' to describe a growing class of workers negatively affected by low wages and insecure employment due to globalization. His work has focused on the precariat, deliberative democracy, and the commons. Since the publication of his book The Precariat: The New Dangerous Class in 2011, he has become a prominent advocate for universal basic income. Standing has been recognized by the academic community as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2009 and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2019.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
