About Ian
Ian Gillan, born on August 19, 1945, is an English singer best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the rock band Deep Purple. He is recognized for his powerful and wide-ranging singing voice. Gillan was influenced by Elvis Presley and began his music career by fronting several local bands in the mid-1960s. He joined the band Episode Six after their original singer left and achieved broad commercial success when he joined Deep Purple in 1969. Gillan resigned from the band in June 1973 after giving a lengthy notice period to their managers. Following a brief hiatus from music, he resumed his career with solo bands including the Ian Gillan Band and Gillan. In 1983, he briefly served as the vocalist for Black Sabbath. Deep Purple reformed the next year, producing two successful albums before Gillan left again in 1989. He rejoined the band in 1992 and has been its lead singer ever since. Beyond his work with Deep Purple, Gillan performed as Jesus in the original recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar in 1970, participated in the charity supergroup Rock Aid Armenia, and engaged in various business ventures such as a hotel, a motorcycle manufacturer, and music recording facilities at Kingsway Studios. His solo career and activities alongside Deep Purple include solo concerts and collaborations such as the supergroup WhoCares formed with Tony Iommi, reflecting his continued influence and diverse pursuits.

What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
