About Ida
Ida Lupino was a British-American actress, director, writer, and producer whose career spanned 48 years. She appeared in 59 films and directed eight, primarily working in the United States where she became a citizen in 1948. Lupino is regarded as the most prominent female filmmaker of the 1950s during the Hollywood studio system. She co-founded an independent production company, through which she co-wrote and co-produced several social-message films. She made history as the first woman to direct a film noir with The Hitch-Hiker in 1953. Among her other notable directed films are Not Wanted, Never Fear, Outrage, The Bigamist, and The Trouble with Angels. Her directorial work often explored themes of women's social confinement and is considered proto-feminist. As an actress, Lupino's notable films include The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, They Drive by Night, High Sierra, The Sea Wolf, Ladies in Retirement, Moontide, The Hard Way, Deep Valley, Road House, While the City Sleeps, and Junior Bonner. In addition to her film work, she directed over 100 episodes of television across various genres, including Westerns and mysteries. She was the only woman to direct an episode of the original The Twilight Zone series and the only director to star in an episode. What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
