Jacob H. Braun is an American expert in cyber and national security. He has held various government positions, including being appointed by President Joseph Biden as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary's Senior Advisor to the Management Directorate and as Senior Counselor for Transformation from June 2021 to May 2023. In addition, Braun served as the Acting Principal Deputy National Cyber Director in the White House from May 2023 to July 2024. Braun is also involved in academia as a senior lecturer at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy Studies, where he teaches courses on cyber policy and election security. He serves as the Executive Director of the university’s Harris Cyber Policy Initiative. Braun's earlier career includes serving as White House Liaison to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2009 to 2011. He has also worked in political campaigns, serving as National Deputy Field Director for Obama for America in 2008 and as Michigan Field Director for John Kerry in 2004. Additionally, Braun is a co-founder of the DEF CON Voting Machine Hacking Village, a hacker conference focusing on election security.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.

Do you offer a free trial?

Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.

What happens if I cancel?
