Mike Tyson

Michael Gerard Tyson, born on June 30, 1966, is an American former professional boxer and a cannabis entrepreneur. Known by nicknames such as Iron Mike and Kid Dynamite in his early career, Tyson is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time and is recognized as one of the most intimidating figures in boxing history. He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990 and is noted for winning his first 19 professional fights by knockout, with 12 of those victories occurring in the first round. At the age of 20, Tyson claimed his first belt, making him the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title. He was the first heavyweight to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles and the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. In 1988, Tyson became the lineal champion by knocking out Michael Spinks in just 91 seconds. His career faced setbacks after losing the undisputed title to Buster Douglas in 1990 in an upset that is considered one of the biggest in boxing history. Tyson was convicted of rape in 1992 and served three years in prison before regaining the WBA and WBC titles in 1996. His career included notable events such as a disqualification for biting Holyfield’s ears in 1997 and a loss to Lennox Lewis in 2002.
