Noah Strausser Speer Wyle, born on June 4, 1971, is an American actor, television director, producer, and writer. He is best known for his portrayal of Dr. John Carter in the NBC medical drama ER, which aired from 1994 to 2005. Wyle's performances in this role earned him six Actor Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. His career includes notable work on TNT, where he played Steve Jobs in the television film Pirates of Silicon Valley, and Flynn Carsen in The Librarian franchise, spanning from 2004 to 2018.
