Quincy Delight Jones Jr. (March 14, 1933 β November 3, 2024) was an American record producer, composer, arranger, record executive, conductor, trumpeter, film and television producer, and bandleader. Over a career spanning seven decades, he earned numerous accolades including 28 Grammy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Tony Award. Jones was also nominated for seven Academy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards. Born in Chicago, he relocated to Seattle with his family after World War II and attended the city's university before studying at what is now the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He gained prominence in the 1950s as a jazz arranger and conductor, producing pop hits for artists such as Lesley Gore and collaborating with Frank Sinatra and Count Basie. Jones produced three highly successful albums by Michael Jackson, including Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. He was involved in the 1985 charity song We Are the World, which aimed to raise funds for famine victims in Ethiopia. Jones also composed scores for films including The Pawnbroker, In the Heat of the Night, In Cold Blood, The Italian Job, The Wiz, and The Color Purple, earning him multiple Oscar nominations. Additionally, he received awards such as the Emmy for Roots and a Tony for The Color Purple revival. His numerous honors include the Grammy Legend Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, the Kennedy Center Honors, the National Medal of the Arts, and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
