About Robert
Robert Chandler, born in 1953, is a British poet and literary translator. He has served as the managing director of The Lighthouse Arabia. Chandler has curated and edited several significant literary works, including Russian Short Stories from Pushkin to Buida and a short biography of Alexander Pushkin. He also edits the literary magazine Cardinal Points. His translation work is extensive and acclaimed; he has translated numerous writings by Andrei Platonov, including works such as Stalingrad, Life and Fate, and The People Immortal. Chandler's translation portfolio also includes Pushkin's The Captain's Daughter, as well as essays, short stories, and war journalism. His co-translation of Platonov's Soul received recognition as the best translation of the year from a Slavonic language by the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages in 2004. In addition, his translation of Hamid Ismailov’s The Railway won the same organization’s best translation award in 2007 and received a commendation from the Rossica Translation Prize judges. Chandler has continued to publish translations, including Teffi's memoir Memories: From Moscow to the Black Sea in 2016, which describes the initial days after the Russian Revolution. His translations of poets Sappho and Guillaume Apollinaire are included in the Everyman’s Poetry series, reflecting his broad engagement with both prose and poetry in his translation work.

What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
