About Temuera

Temuera Derek Morrison, born on 26 December 1960, is a New Zealand actor known for his work both in his home country and internationally. He first gained recognition in New Zealand for portraying Dr. Hone Ropata on the soap opera Shortland Street. Morrison received critical acclaim for his role as Jake The Muss Heke in the 1994 film Once Were Warriors and its 1999 sequel What Becomes of the Broken Hearted. His career expanded into prominent roles within the Star Wars franchise, where he is best known for playing the bounty hunters Jango Fett and Boba Fett. His first appearance in the series was in the 2002 film Attack of the Clones, where he portrayed Jango Fett and provided the basis for the clone troopers. Morrison voiced Boba Fett in the 2004 re-release of The Empire Strikes Back and in various Star Wars video games. He later brought the character fully to life in the second season of The Mandalorian and its spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett. In 2022, Morrison appeared in the series Echo 3. He has also lent his voice to Disney's Moana as Chief Tui and has played Arthur Curry’s father, Tom Curry, in DC Extended Universe films including Aquaman, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
