About Trey
Harold Watson Trey Gowdy III born on August 22, 1964, is an American television news presenter and a former politician. He served as the U.S. representative for South Carolina's 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2019. His district included much of the Upstate region of South Carolina, including Greenville and Spartanburg. Prior to his congressional career, Gowdy worked as a federal prosecutor in the District of South Carolina from 1994 to 2000. He also served as the solicitor for South Carolina's Seventh Judicial Circuit, which comprised Spartanburg and Cherokee counties, from 2000 to 2010. Gowdy appeared in four episodes of Forensic Files as the prosecutor of cases he won. Between 2014 and 2016, he chaired the United States House Select Committee on Benghazi. During this period, the committee was responsible for uncovering the existence of Hillary Clinton's private email server. The investigation focused on the 2012 Benghazi attack and lasted over two and a half years, costing approximately 7.8 million dollars. Gowdy pressed for the prosecution of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. In June 2017, he became the chair of the House Oversight Committee. On January 31, 2018, Gowdy announced that he would not seek re-election and planned to pursue a legal career instead. He subsequently rejoined the law firm Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough and became a contributor to Fox News. Since then, he has served as an interim host of Fox News Primetime and later hosted Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy. In 2023, Gowdy appeared as a guest host of Fox News Tonight following the firing of Tucker Carlson.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
