I Will Be Still an Instant and Go Home | July 21, 2026 | ACIM Lesson 202
Send Hope a Text “I will be still a moment and go home” sounds poetic, but we treat it as a concrete practice you can use when your mind is spinning, your body feels unsafe, or you’re stuck replaying a conversation. We unpack A Course in Miracles Lesson 202 as a review of Lesson 182, and we place “going home” inside Review Six’s anchor: “I am not a body. I am free, for I am still as God created me.” The shift is radical and practical: home is not a place, a relationship, a future spiritual state, or the world finally feeling like heaven. Home is the recognition that we never left our Source, and stillness is how we stop arguing with that truth. We walk through the workbook structure for daily spiritual practice: 15 minutes morning and evening, hourly remembrance, and immediate application whenever fear, judgment, grievance, or bodily identification shows up. We also name the real obstacle as “exceptions” the mind protects, like “I’m free except when…” or “I can have peace except while this is unresolved.” Instead of suppression or self-attack, we practice a gentle exchange: “This thought I do not want. I choose instead to be still an instant and go home.” Along the way we explore forgiveness as our function, the “holy child” as the quiet awareness of innocence within, and defenselessness as strength without making you passive or naive. If you’ve been chasing relief through occupation, denial, or constant fixing, this is an invitation to rest and remember what you are right now.
