Life Behind the Stunts with Stuart St. Paul
Today on Adeptus On-Air host Mike Hoffman chats with Stuart St. Paul, a celebrity stuntman and bestselling author whose credits include Aliens and three James Bond films. Stuart shares how dyslexia pushed him toward sport, and how his athletic skills and love of physics led him into stunt work, which he describes as a form of engineering. He opens up about the 2012 explosion on the set of Strike Back that left him badly burned and eventually needing brain surgery. His therapist encouraged him to give talks on cruise ships so his final memories of the industry would be the good ones. Unable to sit in the sun while healing, he began writing in the ship's lounge, and that first manuscript grew into ten cruise crime novels. Tune in to hear more about working alongside Roger Moore, the job of a senior stunt coordinator, and Doris Visits, the travel YouTube channel Stuart creates with his wife.
