Israeli American's Get Real About Living Between Two Worlds
Amir and Gitit are Israeli Americans living between two worlds. They grew up in Israel under the constant weight of conflict, then moved to America to build a new life, only to find themselves watching wars unfold from afar, feeling connected to home yet isolated and helpless thousands of miles away.In this conversation, they share what that duality really feels like: the emotional whiplash of showing up to normal life while family and friends face danger overseas, and the loneliness of grief that doesn't always translate to the people around you. Now, years into their life in America, they're navigating a new chapter, sending their daughter to serve in the IDF, and adjusting to a changed world at work and in their community post-October 7th.This is a story about carrying two homes at once, and finding steadiness in the space between them.Check out our website: https://storiesofantisemitism.com/IG: https://instagram.com/storiesofantisemitismTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@storiesofantisemitism?_t=8q042NVqkd5&_r=1X: https://x.com/SOAonXFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/storiesofantisemitism
