Episode #50
You Don’t Need More Christian Content
Most Christians don’t have an information problem. We have an application problem. We have access to more sermons, podcasts, devotionals, Bible studies, books, and Christian content than almost any generation before us. But knowing what Jesus taught and actually following Jesus are two very different things. In this episode of Applied Faith, we look at James 1:22 and Matthew 7:24–27 and ask a harder question: What has God already shown us that we still aren’t doing? We talk about the difference between information and transformation, why consuming Christian content can sometimes feel like spiritual progress, and why most obedience happens through small everyday decisions. Then we put it into practice. THIS WEEK’S APPLIED FAITH CHALLENGE: Bible Before Phone. For the next 7 days, before social media, email, YouTube, news, or entertainment: Read Scripture. Pray. Then pick up your phone. Give God your first attention instead of your leftover attention. If you’re doing the challenge with me, comment: I’M IN. Then come back and tell me what you notice. Applied Faith exists to help Christians close the gap between believing in Jesus and actually living like Jesus. Faith isn’t meant to stay in our heads. It’s meant to be applied. Subscribe and join us as we put faith into practice one decision, one habit, and one act of obedience at a time. #AppliedFaith #ChristianLiving #FollowJesus
