Literacy: Dr. David Fainstein
Benton and Kathleen talked about literacy, data, systemic change, consultation, Curriculum Based Measures and so much more with David Fainstein, an Assistant Professor in School Psychology. David earned his doctoral degree from the University of Oregon in 2022, worked for four years as an professor at Seattle University, and just transitioned to an Associate Director role at Stanford University. He has three years experience as a school psychologist in Surrey, B.C., and has since worked as a data coach and consultant with school districts across Canada and the United States. David presents and publishes his research on effective educator supports, and we discuss one piece of dissemination in this episode. We experienced a few technical challenges in the recording but feel it is well worth a listen.
