  Canadian folk icon Sylvia Tyson once again has been honoured for her extraordinary contributions to music, earning a JUNO Award nomination for Traditional Roots Album of The Year with her latest and final studio album “ At The End of the Day ”. Her nomination is the latest milestone in a legendary career that includes inductions into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2003), the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (2019), and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (1992 – alongside Ian Tyson). Sylvia is also a recipient of the Order of Canada (1994). Her latest album “ At The End of The Day ” reaffirms her place as one of Canada’s most cherished songwriters as she looks back on a lifetime of music. Her newest nomination stands as a well-earned tribute to a career that has helped define the landscape of folk and roots music.   Montreal-born singer/songwriter, playwright and musical entrepreneur, Barry Stagg spent the first 29 years of his life his hometown before moving to Nova Scotia. In 2008, he relocated to North Carolina, where he now resides with his wife, Barbara. A prolific composer, Barry has written six full-length modern operas, numerous film scores, and mini-operas. As the playwright-in-resident for NOSCO Academy of Theatre Arts, he created an impressive 90 musicals. His talent has taken him to the international stage, performing at the prestigious MIDEM in Cannes, France, as well as in Sweden, and as a featured showcase artist at Toronto’s Indie Week. Barry’s latest single “Shine A Little Light” part of his upcoming album titled “The Pilgrim” set for release late spring, is about looking back on a time when he was beginning his life as a musician and a songwriter. These days, she’s captivating audiences as the host of TLC’s eye-opening and entertaining show, Call in the Cheapstakes . Her music video of her song “ Just Say Yes” has earned multiple awards, including Asian Talent International Film Award as well as the European Cinematography Award in Amsterdam. Her latest single, “I Didn’t Know”, features eleven-time women’s Wrestling World Champion in WWE and TNA Wrestling, Mickie James as well as country rappers The Lacs. Beyond the worlds of music, television, and sports entertainment, she also expresses her creativity through photography with her portrait series of women in their forties, fifties, sixties and seventies.
