Episode #277
What You Can’t Do At Mystic Lake?
Aug 14, 20261h 25m
Episode 277 of Beer, Blues, and BS takes a direct hit at corporate greed, hotel security-state policies, and the soul-crushing rise of AI in modern media! Mark Kidder checks in from a room at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, calling out an outrageous guest experience complete with security checkpoints, metal detectors, and strict anti-outside-alcohol policies that threaten instant eviction. That venue frustration leads straight into a passionate, hard-hitting debate over the sudden firing of legendary Fighting Sioux voice Tim Hennessy—and how corporate radio continues to gut real human talent in favor of cheap, emotionless AI announcers and fake online staff profiles. Over at the bar, the crew tests an eclectic lineup of pre-made cocktails, high-caffeine energy blends, and copper ales. JS whips up a custom Disaronno coffee concoction before heading off to the USPSA state shooting championships, Doc faces down a cotton-candy-flavored G Fuel "Flavor Bomb," and Big Bada Boom makes a brief, smoky cameo from the outdoor grill with a glass of scotch. Plus, the guys dissect the astronomical pricing and autographed card controversies surrounding the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Star Trek set, talk Chicago Blackhawks roster moves, and attempt to enjoy a dry prop serving of Outback bread. On Tap This Episode: LCL Geek: Black Lake Ranch Copper Ale. Rudeboy Kyle: On The Rocks Knob Creek Old Fashioned. JS: Disaronno, coffee, and whole milk cocktail. Episode 276 of Beer, Blues, and BS takes you behind the scenes of high-stakes historical events, weird regional snack habits, and total drink gauntlets! Howard Blues shares a wild, last-minute construction story from a massive presidential event out in Medora. Confronted with a hard deadline and a sudden directive from a White House staffer, Howard had to quickly assemble a chaotic crew—including a team of actual Roosevelt’s Rough Riders reenactors—leading to a total logistical nightmare and a rogue piece of flying lumber. Over at the bar, the flavor profiles are completely unpredictable. The crew faces off against a lineup featuring everything from a "cola champagne" discovered at an HMart, to a Key Lime Pie Gose, zero-sugar performance fuel, and a clearance-rack sparkling water that leaves the room highly divided. Plus, the guys mourn the end of a Grand Forks dining landmark, sparking a heated debate over the highly controversial local habit of dipping bar popcorn straight into ranch dressing. Finally, the team breaks down breaking entertainment news regarding legendary singer Huey Lewis's health, pays tribute to late TV icons, debates the endless loop of the Daylight Savings Time war, and highlights a massive highway beer seizure by the Minnesota State Patrol. On Tap This Episode: Rudeboy Kyle: A vibrant "Neon Rodeo" slightly sour ale and a crisp fruit cider. Doc: A Toltec-inspired sparkling import and a peach clearance-rack gamble. JS: A smooth, high-caffeine peach energy blend. Mark Kidder: A heavily layered Key Lime Pie dessert Gose. Howard Blues: A classic, velvety craft root beer. Buckle up for Episode 275 of Beer, Blues, and BS as we span the globe from local golf course near-disasters to the high-octane tracks of European racing! Rudeboy Kyle takes center stage with an epic travelogue from Austria, recounting an uncomfortably overheated flight that felt more like a funeral home than a cabin. He breaks down his incredible trip to the Red Bull Ring for a Formula 1 weekend—complete with behind-the-scenes pit lane access, an 11-euro bacon-topped hot dog, and using soaking-wet towels to survive the intense track heat. Back home, Mark Kidder recaps a recent golf tournament where the team finished an impressive eight under par, despite JS nearly rolling the golf cart and the crew completely missing the post-round barbecue due to painfully slow play. Plus, we tackle Doc’s Dollar Tree Starbucks experiment, dive into the corporate strategy behind Seattle coffee shop closures, debate the absolute pretentiousness of kombucha with a nod to Portlandia, and unveil the brand-new "Terrestrial Radio Sucks" tri-blend tees now live in the merch shop. The conversation takes a serious turn as the guys dissect the massive wave of corporate radio layoffs sweeping the nation, breaking down the harsh reality of losing local voices and critical live emergency coverage to automated broadcasting. Over at the bar, JS battles a golden ale with an unexpected "Christmas tree" undertone before redeeming his palate with a smooth Mississippi pecan brown ale. Doc checks in live from an airport lounge to review a crisp raspberry gose, while Howard Blues attempts to launch "Kombucha Appreciation Month"—much to the absolute skepticism of the room. Episode 273 of Beer, Blues, and BS is a total mechanical wrecking yard of broken trucks, family milestones, and international sports chaos! Doc checks in live from an airport layover terminal, sparking a huge conversation about how massive World Cup crowds are completely taking over cities—and the viral fan videos that have a song permanently stuck in Howard's head. But the real breakdown happens in the garage. Farva makes his grand return with massive personal family news, followed by an ultimate truck-nightmare story about a literal 5-cent part failing at the worst possible moment. JS counters with his own catastrophic F-150 breakdown that required some insane farm-style towing maneuvers, leading to a deep dive into his massive 24-vehicle property graveyard and the endless search for parts. Plus, Mark Kidder pays his final respects to a permanently closed Grand Forks landmark, shares a bizarre update on a massive surprise check he just received in the mail, and looks into the strict international soccer rules where covering your mouth can get you instantly penalized. On Tap This Episode: Mark Kidder: Leinenkugel's Liny Lodge Lime Mexican-style lager. JS: Half Brothers Brewing Company Classic Golden Ale. Howard Blues: De La Calle Tepache Mango Chili soda. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
