Ep 102: Elisha Harris on Healing, Discernment & Learning to Hear God’s Voice
What if learning to trust yourself could actually help you learn to trust God? For Elisha Harris, that journey took years—and it began in the middle of a childhood shaped by divorce, loss, confusion, and survival. Growing up in Utah, Elisha didn't have a simple faith foundation. Her parents divorced, her mother eventually left the Church, and she later lost her father to suicide. Basketball became one of the ways she coped, but beneath the surface she carried a deep longing for something more. She didn't know how to trust her own instincts, and years of difficult experiences left her questioning what was true and what she could rely on. Eventually, Elisha began an intentional journey of healing, mentorship, and seeking God for herself. She started learning to slow down. To listen. To discern. To recognize the difference between her own thoughts, the expectations of others, and the quiet voice of the Lord. Some of that journey meant saying no to opportunities that looked good on paper because she felt they weren't right for her. Other times, God placed exactly the right people in her path for exactly the right season. Looking back, Elisha can now see God's hand in moments she didn't recognize at the time. Today, she helps others move from survival to surrender and from brokenness to purpose, while sharing her testimony of Jesus Christ and His power to redeem, restore, and transform. Her message is simple: The more intentionally we look for God's hand, the more clearly we begin to recognize Him. Listen to Elisha's full story and consider this question: Where might God already be guiding you that you haven't recognized yet?
