BFF#40: Top 7 Star Trek TV Directors Ranked!
Aug 17, 20261h 3m
This week on Beyond the Final Frontier: Rich, Ian and Toby step behind the camera to rank their Top 7 directors of Star Trek TV episodes β and one of them spends the entire episode racked with guilt over the stone-cold legend he left off his list (only for another host to crown that very man his number one)! Engage(!) with us: Email β beyondffpod@gmail.com | Instagram β @beyondffpod | Facebook β /BFF: Beyond The Final Frontier Expect animated series to be ruled out on a technicality, a suspicious surplus of white men (it was the 80s), trailblazer Gabrielle Beaumont, the myth of "two takes Frakes", a director so mysterious the internet has little record of him, and a spooky three-way tie at number three. Plus: Ian's mortifying tape-recorder disaster on the set of The Masterpiece Society, why Aaron Spelling is (probably) no relation, and the director who married his third wife at 90. Let us know what we got right, what we got wrong, and who we criminally left out! Don't forget to like, rate and subscribe! BEYOND THE FINAL FRONTIER sees three entertainment journalists, who have written about Star Trek for decades, bringing their extensive geek-universe knowledge and longtime camaraderie to the podcast world. Each episode, Rich, Ian and Toby explore a unique topic from across the Trek-verse, discussing everything from their personal Trek favourites to the ongoing cultural impact of the science fiction phenom.
This week on Beyond the Final Frontier : Rich, Ian and Toby head into the Trek subconscious to rank their Top 7 dreams, nightmares and fantasies β and immediately start arguing about what actually qualifies as one, disqualifying several stone-cold classics before a single pick has been made! Engage(!) with us: Email β beyondffpod@gmail.com | Instagram β @beyondffpod | Facebook β /BFF: Beyond The Final Frontier Expect "rules quibbling" on an industrial scale (Ian's list of seven somehow reaches 13), hard numbers on which series dreams the most and which one doesn't dream at all, false awakenings, an evil clown, Cirque du Soleil, holodeck Freud and more. Rigoletto, Fellini and Polanski all get name-checked, so consider this your culture for the week! Let us know what we got right, what we got wrong, and what you'd like us to cover next. BFF#38: VEGAS BABY β DR TREK IS BACK! Top 5 Canon Retrofits with Larry Nemecek
Aug 2, 202655 minS2
This week on Beyond the Final Frontier : On the eve of Star Trek's biggest 60th birthday party at the Rio in Las Vegas, Rich and Ian pack their tricorders for Sin City and our trio mark the occasion by welcoming back fellow Khaaaan-goer, the one and only Larry "Dr. Trek" Nemecek, for a countdown of the Top 5 canon retrofits, those moments when Star Trek (sometimes...) quietly reached back into its own past and rewrote it. Engage(!) with us: Email β beyondffpod@gmail.com | Instagram β @beyondffpod | Facebook β /BFF: Beyond The Final Frontier Expect a proper deep dive with the author of the Next Generation Companion into the fine art of the fudge: the in-universe repair jobs, the rules quietly redrawn behind the audience's back, and the contradiction the franchise has pointedly decided it will never, ever explain. Plus a number one that reframes rather more than a single episode. Let us know what we got right, what we got wrong, and what you'd like us to cover next. Don't forget to like, rate and subscribe! BFF#37: We review the JJ Abrams' Kelvin Star Trek movies!
Jul 13, 20261h 2mS2
This week on Beyond the Final Frontier: Rich, Ian and Toby beam into the Kelvin Universe to tackle J.J. Abrams' big-screen reboot trilogy β Star Trek (2009), Into Darkness and Beyond β debating the good, the bad and the Khan of it all. Engage(!) with us: Email β beyondffpod@gmail.com | Instagram β @beyondffpod | Facebook β /BFF: Beyond The Final Frontier Expect lens flares, red matter, and a black hole's worth of timeline debate β from a recast crew that shouldn't have worked (but did) to a villain reveal that definitely didn't fool anyone. The trio go deep into the weeds on what the reboot got gloriously right, where it stumbled into the warp core, and whether Beyond was the course correction the franchise deserved. Plus: strong opinions on Karl Urban's McCoy, and at least one hill somebody is prepared to die on. Don't forget to like, rate and subscribe! This week on Beyond the Final Frontier: Rich, Ian and Toby rank their favourite two-part Star Trek episodes β no season premieres, no finales, and a "part one and two" rule that gets stretched, bent, and openly mutinied against within minutes. Engage(!) with us: Email β beyondffpod@gmail.com | Instagram β @beyondffpod | Facebook β /BFF: Beyond The Final Frontier Expect Nazi holodecks, moral event horizons, a pirate ship, a legendary interrogation scene, and a genuinely heated three-way stand-off for the number one spot that ends with accusations of hindsight, nostalgia bias, and someone being politely called wrong on air. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
