In Brand Storytelling with Fexingo, Lucas and Luna dissect how companies move beyond logos and taglines to build narratives that resonate. Each episode examines a single brand's mission statement, origin story, or campaign arc — from Patagonia's 'We're in business to save our home planet' to Nike's 'Just Do It' evolution — and traces how that narrative creates customer loyalty, employee alignment, and market differentiation. Lucas brings a journalist's rigor, asking how the story holds up against financial results; Luna pushes on authenticity, questioning when storytelling becomes manipulation. Together they analyze the specific words, images, and distribution channels that turn a mission into a movement — or a misfire. They never settle for platitudes: they look at the actual revenue impact of TOMS' One for One model, the cultural blowback of Pepsi's Kendall Jenner ad, and the slow erosion of WeWork's 'community' narrative. How Duolingo Turned a Mascot Into a Marketing Machine
Aug 18, 202611 minS4
Duolingo's green owl, Duo, has become one of the most recognizable mascots in tech — but it didn't happen by accident. In this episode of Brand Storytelling, Lucas and Luna break down how a language-learning app turned a pushy notifications chatbot into a meme-machine that drove billions of views and daily active users. They look at the specific content strategy that made the brand voice work across TikTok, Instagram, and in-app notifications, and how Duolingo's willingness to let its mascot be 'unhinged' paid off. Plus, they discuss the risk of burning out a character's goodwill and what other brands can learn from Duo's careful chaos. If you've ever wondered why that owl won't leave you alone — and why you kind of love it — this episode explains the method behind the madness. #Duolingo #MascotMarketing #BrandVoice #TikTokStrategy #SocialMedia #Marketing #BrandStorytelling #DuoTheOwl #ViralContent #PushNotifications #GenZMarketing #BrandPersonality #ContentStrategy #CommunityManagement #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #MarketingPodcast #BrandBuilding Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Aug 16, 20268 minS4
Duolingo is a language-learning app whose mascot, the green owl Duo, has become a cultural phenomenon. In this episode, Lucas and Luna unpack how Duolingo weaponized Duo's passive-aggressive personality across TikTok, memes, and in-app notifications, turning a learning tool into a brand that millions talk about. They trace the origins of Duo's dangerous-cute persona, dissect the 'unhinged' TikTok strategy that racked up billions of views, and examine how the brand uses limited-time streaks and playful guilt-tripping to keep users engaged — and talking. They also look at the risks of leaning into an irreverent mascot, from brand safety to user fatigue, and how Duolingo navigates the line between love and annoyance. How Red Bull Built a Media Empire on Extreme Storytelling
Aug 15, 20267 minS4
In this episode of Brand Storytelling with Fexingo, Lucas and Luna unpack how Red Bull transformed from an energy drink into a global media powerhouse. They trace the strategy back to 2004, when Red Bull bought two Formula One teams and founded Red Bull Media House, producing content that sells the lifestyle, not the product. The conversation focuses on the 'Red Bull Stratos' jump in 2012, where Felix Baumgartner broke the sound barrier in a freefall, drawing 8 million concurrent YouTube viewers. Lucas breaks down the 'media house' model, explaining how Red Bull owns its distribution across TV, digital, and events like the Flugtag and Crashed Ice. Luna challenges whether this approach works for every brand, and they explore the limits of content-driven marketing. They also touch on the risk of brand fatigue and the careful balance between entertainment and overt promotion. By the end, listeners learn why Red Bull's most valuable asset isn't a can—it's the stories it tells. A must-listen for marketers and storytellers. #RedBullBrand #BrandStorytelling #ContentMarketing #MediaHouse #ExtremeSports #StorytellingStrategy #FelixBaumgartner #RedBullStratos #Marketing #BrandStrategy #RedBullMediaHouse #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #MarketingPodcast #BrandNarrative #EnergyDrink #ContentStrategy #OwnedMedia Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
