To say that Bruce is a long-time Baltimore broadcaster might be an understatement. After working in Chicago and Milwaukee, Bruce came to Baltimore in the mid-1970s, first as a DJ (Elliott in the Afternoon), then a weekend TV Weatherman and Environmental Reporter, then host of Dialing for Dollars, and then his own midday TV Talk Show. He then headed to DC where he hosted the multiple Emmy Award-winning talk show for teens, In Our Lives. He re-entered the radio world and the world of Talk Radio, at the suggestion of the late Ron Smith, and began at WBAL NewsRadio in 1990. Following almost two decades at WBAL NewsRadio, he moved to Delaware, where he managed and did Morning Drive on two talk radio Stations in Delaware from 2009 to 2015 while his kids were both at the University of Delaware. Bruce returned to Baltimore Talk Radio in 2016, and rejoined WBAL Radio in 2025. Some might say he’s well-traveled, but he prefers to think of his return to WBAL radio as coming home after an extended time away, and he’s very glad to be home.
