For LA-based singer-songwriter and producer Jordan Frye, growing up just minutes from the Pacific Ocean, this very feeling is the lived experience that has shaped his artistic expression. After building a successful career as a session writer, producer and indie label exec at Lauretta Records, alongside his partner Katrina, Jordan is quickly making a new name for himself as a solo artist. His latest album, daydreaming, has already been featured on popular shows like Netflix’s Love Is Blind. Marilyn caught up with Jordan for a conversation about California cliches, songwriting as a profession, and the rising trend of artists ditching major labels for indie-level control.
