Luke 12:35-59 | Being Ready for Jesus' Return
Pastor Kevin teaches through Luke 12, where Jesus calls his followers to stay ready for his return, ready like servants waiting for a master coming home from a wedding. The passage paints readiness as active watching, not fear, an alert and joyful expectation rather than anxious guessing about timing. Jesus also calls his listeners to be wise and faithful with what they've been given, since a day of accounting is coming for every steward. But the passage doesn't end there. Jesus explains that he came to bring division as well as peace, forcing every person toward a decision about where they stand with God. Getting right with him now, the passage says, is far better than waiting until it's too late.
