When the bikini was introduced it was sold in a small box and made from just 30 square inches of fabric. Named after the atomic test that took place on Bikini Atoll, it was advertised as being a true bikini if it could fit through a wedding ring. This little fashion development would lead the way for even more revolutions for women.
