S7 - Ep.1: Wisdom Conversations with David Yates and Michelle Gouge
Wisdom Conversations creates space for Principals and senior leaders to learn from the practical wisdom of experienced Christian school leaders. In this first conversation, CSA Queensland Executive Officer David Yates speaks with Michelle Gouge, Principal of Riverside Christian College, about inheriting a school of around 800 students that was still operating with many of the structures, systems and ways of working of a much smaller school. Michelle reflects on the journey of transitioning Riverside towards a more mature organisational model, including clearer leadership and accountability, stronger systems, greater delegation and more strategic decision-making, while seeking to preserve relationships, culture and Christian mission. Rather than offering a formula to copy, Wisdom Conversations explores the stories, decisions, tensions and lessons that can help principals and senior leaders reflect more deeply on their own leadership and school context.
