Episode 107 - A Gamer Dad Lets His Daughters Explain
Aug 16, 20261h 7m
Parents talk about kids and gaming all the time. But how often do we actually ask the kids what they think? For Episode 107, Blacklabel is joined by his daughters for a different kind of Co-op Chronicles conversation. After recently doing an episode about Roblox safety from the parent perspective, Blacklabel realized something pretty obvious: He spent an entire episode talking about kids and gaming... without actually having any kids there to tell him if he knew what the hell he was talking about. So this time, the kids get the microphone. We talk about what adults misunderstand about Roblox, online friends, Robux and in-game spending, TikTok and YouTube, gaming trends, online safety, bullying and being left out, old-school games versus modern gaming, and what parents might actually be worrying about too much... or not enough. We also get into what gaming has meant for us as a family, whether online friends can be real friends, how parents can build trust instead of just policing screen time, and what kids wish adults understood about their generation. Then Blacklabel makes the questionable decision to let his daughters interview him. This isn’t a parenting lecture. It’s a dad sitting down with his daughters and actually listening. ️ Co-op Chronicles - Episode 107 What Parents Get WRONG About Kids & Gaming Parents: what has your kid taught you about gaming or being online? Younger listeners: what’s something you wish adults understood better about your generation? ⭐ If you enjoy Co-op Chronicles, leave us a rating on Apple Podcasts. Episode 106 - Why Do Gamers Keep Playing Games They Hate?
Aug 9, 20261 hour
Ever rage quit a game, swear you're done with it forever... and then somehow find yourself playing it again the next night? Yeah. Us too. This week on Co-op Chronicles, Blacklabel, PintsizedGeisha, and Azzilee are trying to figure out why gamers keep coming back to games they swear they hate. Is it because our friends are still playing? Nostalgia for when the game used to be better? The hundreds of hours we've already invested? Competition? FOMO? Or are we just pissed off because we lost five matches in a row? We get into toxic gaming relationships, the infamous "one more game," rage-playing, sunk cost, online negativity, chasing old gaming memories, and the moment when you finally have to ask yourself: Am I actually having fun anymore? And maybe that's the real question... do we actually hate these games, or do we care about them so much that they drive us absolutely insane? What's the game YOU constantly complain about but somehow keep playing? Let us know! ⭐ If you enjoy Co-op Chronicles, please take a minute to rate the show on Apple Podcasts. It genuinely helps new listeners discover us. Keep grinding those levels, finish those side quests, and we'll catch you in the next episode. #Gaming #GamingCommunity #GamingPodcast #VideoGames #CoOpChronicles Support the show

Let's be honest... Every gamer has at least one habit they'll never admit to. You tell yourself, "One more quest," then suddenly it's 2 AM. You spend an hour in the character creator only to wear a helmet the entire game. You hoard every healing potion waiting for the "perfect moment" that never comes. And somehow, every waterfall still deserves to be checked... just in case. In Episode 103 of Co-op Chronicles , Blacklabel, Geisha, and Azzilee confess the hilarious gaming habits we've all developed over the years. From loot goblins and side quest addicts to backlog collectors and rage quitters, nothing is off limits. Whether you're a casual gamer or someone with hundreds of games in your library, chances are you're guilty of more than one of these. So be honest...
