Lucas and Luna explore the tactical realities of building and sustaining brand communities on platforms like Discord, Slack Groups, and dedicated forums. Each episode dissects a single community strategy—from onboarding rituals and moderation policies to monetization models and retention metrics—using named examples such as Figma's design community, Duolingo's language clubs, and Patreon's creator servers. The conversation stays grounded in engagement data, churn rates, and member-survey results, avoiding hype in favor of what actually works. Lucas presses for hard numbers: what is the average time-to-first-post for a new member? How do community-driven support tickets compare to traditional call-center costs? Luna pushes back with nuance, citing experiments where over-moderation killed organic growth or where gamification backfired. The show serves marketers, community managers, and product leaders who need evidence-based playbooks, not platitudes. Listeners walk away understanding wh

Most brands treat their Slack or Discord communities as free customer service desks, but this approach creates a hidden tax on both staff and members. In this episode of Community Marketing, Lucas and Luna break down the specific case of how one mid-sized software company tried to scale its community support without hiring more humans. They explore why relying on peer-to-peer troubleshooting leads to burnout, inconsistent answers, and ultimately, higher churn rates than paid support channels. The discussion centers on the operational reality of community management in late 2026, moving beyond engagement metrics to look at the actual cost of maintaining a self-service ecosystem. You will learn why treating community members as unpaid labor is a strategic error and how to structure your digital town squares for long-term sustainability rather than short-term volume. #CommunityMarketing #BrandStrategy #CustomerSupport #SlackBusiness #DiscordCommunities #OperationalEfficiency #UserGeneratedContent #CustomerExperience #DigitalTownsquares #BurnoutPrevention #CommunityModeration #SaaSMarketing #PeerSupport #ChurnReduction #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #MarketingTips #TechCommunities Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

How Brands Build Communities That Survive Algorithm Changes
Sep 26, 202613 minS4
In this episode of Community Marketing with Fexingo, Lucas and Luna examine how platform dependency creates structural fragility for modern brands. We focus on the specific case of a mid-sized outdoor apparel company that migrated its core community from a public social feed to a private Slack workspace in early 2025. The hosts analyze the operational costs of ownership versus the engagement benefits of rented land. You will learn why some communities thrive when they remove the algorithmic middleman, and what metrics actually matter when you control the infrastructure. This is not about viral growth; it is about building durable customer relationships that survive platform policy shifts. #CommunityMarketing #BrandStrategy #SlackForBusiness #DiscordCommunities #CustomerLoyalty #DigitalOwnership #PlatformRisk #CommunityManagement #SaaSMarketing #RetentionMetrics #ChurnReduction #BrandAdvocacy #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #MarketingTrends2026 #PrivateGroups #SocialMediaStrategy #CommunityOps Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
