Then the conversation somehow turns into electric-car road trips, range anxiety, whether stopping more often might actually make your back and knees happier, and why being the passenger princess may—or may not—be better for your body. Back at WellnessOne, we share some patient progress we're genuinely excited about. One patient who had been struggling so much that mornings were difficult was able to go upstairs for the first time in about a year after beginning care.   Episode 26 of Crack Me Up starts with home-repair frustration and quickly turns into a full clinic emergency when the power suddenly goes out in the middle of patient care. Amber immediately runs downstairs into the darkness to investigate—exactly as Chatty G predicted she would—while Dr. K calmly continues asking a patient about their leg pain. With no lights, no air conditioning, no X-rays and limited treatment options, the team has to decide which patients can still be helped and which appointments need to be rescheduled. Naturally, everyone’s first theory is that The Hole did it . The team also shares several meaningful patient wins, including a patient who became emotional after realizing she could bend down and lift something for the first time in nearly a year. They discuss how people gradually adapt to pain, begin treating limitations as their “new normal,” and sometimes forget how much those limitations are affecting their everyday lives. Dr. K, Amber, and Aide share the good, the bad, and the confusing parts of working with artificial intelligence. The clinic’s new AI-supported website is faster, cleaner, and finally feels like it represents WellnessOne—but Chatty G is still creating podcast artwork with random people, ignoring instructions, and acting like it knows better than everyone else. Meanwhile, Dr. K’s self-driving Tesla is doing an excellent job on the road and an absolutely questionable job once it reaches the parking lot. It backs into loading zones, chooses neighboring driveways, parks behind stores, and occasionally decides that “close enough” is good enough. The team also celebrates meaningful patient progress, including the impact of disc decompression and electroanalgesia for people dealing with persistent back and hip pain.
