  On 6 August 2025, the Greenbot website posted this headline: Grok spicy mode creates nude Taylor Swift videos from concert prompts. The story read: Grok’s new “spicy mode” automatically generated explicit videos of Taylor Swift when a reporter asked for basic concert images, exposing major safety gaps in Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence … tool. The incident occurred within hours of Grok’s Imagine launch on August 4. Reporter Jess Weatherbed discovered the problem during her first test of the new video feature. Weatherbed requested images of “Taylor Swift celebrating Coachella with the boys.” Grok produced over 30 photos, several showing Swift in revealing clothes. When she selected the “spicy” mode to convert one image into video, the AI created footage of Swift removing her dress and dancing nearly nude. “The video promptly had Swift tear off her clothes and begin dancing in a thong for a largely indifferent AI-generated crowd,” Weatherbed wrote for The Verge. The spicy mode is one of four video options available to paying subscribers. Users can pick Custom, Normal, Fun, or Spicy settings to animate their images in 15 seconds. That was easy to do. Generating fake photographs in the 1950s and later in the service of promoting Charles Darwin and his theory, until around 2025 wasn’t so easy, but it was done for a high purpose –proving that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution was science. Thirty billion is a commonly cited figure, but the number has been put as high as 4,000 billion. Whatever the actual total, 99.99 per cent of all species that have ever lived are no longer with us. 'To a first approximation,' as the late David Raup of the University of Chicago liked to say, 'all species are extinct.' For complex organisms, the average lifespan of a species is thought to be only about 4 million years. As recounted by Bill Bryson in his book, A Short History of Nearly Everything 2.0 So where on earth did all of the species on earth today come from? Should we look to Mr Darwin for an explanation of how 4,000 billion species emerged from the incredibly slow process of natural selection?   In the last part I opened with the story of the amazing Bambiraptor – the missing link – how dinosaurs became birds. This missing link was revealed to the scientific world at a Symposium on Dinosaur Bird Evolution held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in April 2000. Jonathon Wells, in his book The Icons of Evolution , wrote: On the second day of the symposium, William Garstka reported that he and a team of molecular biologists from Alabama had extracted DNA from the fossil bones of a 65-million-year-old dinosaur. Although evidence from other studies suggests that DNA older than about a million years cannot yield any useful sequence information, Garstka and his colleagues amplified and sequenced the DNA, compared it with known DNA from other animals, and found that it was most similar to bird DNA. They concluded that they had found "the first direct genetic evidence to indicate that birds represent the closest living relatives of the dinosaurs." Their conclusion was reported the following week by Constance Holden in Science. I can’t convey to you how much excitement this discovery caused in the secular world of science. Now at the symposium all of the detail was going to be revealed. This would finally prove Charles Darwin’s as yet unproven Theory of Evolution to be right. It would no longer be just a philosophical view, it would be proven science.   The …. Bambiraptor, originally discovered by a Montana family in 1993 [was] turned over to professional paleontologists in 1995. The animal's body was about the size of a chicken, but its long tail made it about three feet long. With sharp teeth and claws, it resembled a small Velociraptor — the ruthless predator made famous in the closing scenes of the movie "Jurassic Park." The original skeleton of Bambiraptor — reconstructed in a lifelike pose and protected by thick Plexiglas — was proudly displayed at the conference. The conference was a Symposium on Dinosaur Bird Evolution held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in April 2000. The fossil had been found in Upper Cretaceous rocks, meaning that it was about 75 million years younger than Archaeopteryx. But cladistic analysis showed that it had many of the skeletal features predicted to have existed in the ancestor of Archaeopteryx. In fact, paleontologists who examined it proclaimed it to be "the most bird-like dinosaur yet discovered" and a “remarkable missing link between birds and dinosaurs.” Bambiraptor was a crucial discovery that Jonathon Wells wrote about in his book The Icons of Evolution that the secular evolutionary scientists had long been praying for – at last clear proof that birds were descended from dinosaurs. Ya boo sucks to those intelligent design people – here was the proof that Charles Darwin knew would one day be found to finally give his Theory of Evolution irrebuttable scientific proof.
