Her Purpose Is People: The Story of Lovey Sometimes the people you meet unexpectedly are carrying stories you never could have imagined. I met Lovey when she got into my Uber on her way to a recording session. We started talking, and before the ride was over I knew I wanted to hear more of her story — and I wanted other people to hear it too. Lovey is a Philadelphia-area singer and performer whose life is rooted in family, faith and music. In this conversation, she shares her account of a devastating medical crisis, major surgery, cancer, recovery, and the spiritual experience she says changed the way she looks at her life and purpose. But this episode is about much more than survival. Lovey explains how her experience deepened her faith and changed the way she connects with audiences.
