The Missing Piece in Cancer Care: Pelvic Floor PT & Radiation Recovery
Dr. Cody McNeely earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2010 and has been specializing in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy for the last 14 years. Dr. McNeely has obtained Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and specializes in treating men and women for issues related to the bladder, bowels and pain in the pelvic area. She is passionate about empowering patients through education and giving them the tools they need to help alleviate symptoms. Her aim is to create an environment in which patients feel comfortable discussing diagnoses that are sensitive in nature and is committed to providing patients with the best care possible in order to achieve their goals. Dr. McNeely is also dedicated to educating and mentoring the next generation of Pelvic Health Physical Therapists. She is adjunct faculty at the University of Kentucky PT where she works to increase the understanding of Pelvic Health therapy for all physical therapists. She also serves as a mentor for many therapists new to the Pelvic Health PT world. She also serves as State Representative of Kentucky for the American Physical Therapy Association – Pelvic Health section. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading and traveling. She also volunteers as Facilitator for the Kentucky Chapter of Chamber of Mothers, a non-profit focused on advocacy for Maternal health, paid parental leave and affordable childcare.
