Family Office Conversations with Fexingo examines the quiet machinery of dynastic wealth — how multi-generational families preserve, grow, and transfer capital across decades. Lucas and Luna, co-hosts of this Fexingo Business network show, sit down each episode to dissect the structural decisions family offices face: asset allocation for perpetuity, governance that outlasts founders, and the tax and legal frameworks that shape inheritance. They avoid breathless profiles of billionaires; instead, they talk about actual vehicles — trusts, holding companies, direct investment in private equity and real assets — and how family offices benchmark against endowments and sovereign funds. The listener is someone who advises ultra-high-net-worth families, manages a family office, or is building a generational plan themselves. Lucas brings a journalist's precision, interrogating the numbers behind private placements and succession costs. Luna challenges with real cases: a European industrial fami

How Family Offices Are Buying Up Water Rights
Aug 20, 20269 minS4
In this episode of Family Office Conversations, Lucas and Luna explore the rising trend of family offices investing in water rights and water infrastructure. They break down a specific 2024 deal where an Arizona family office acquired a portfolio of senior water rights for $12 million, and discuss the growing appeal of water as an asset class. The conversation covers the mechanics of water rights, the regulatory landscape, the role of drought and climate change, and the controversy around private control of a basic resource. Lucas and Luna also touch on the broader trend of family offices moving into alternative assets like farmland and timberland, and how water fits into that strategy. A key takeaway: water rights offer stable, inflation-linked returns but come with unique legal and ethical complexities. If you're curious about the next frontier in alternative investing, this episode is for you. #WaterRights #FamilyOffice #AlternativeInvestments #WaterInfrastructure #Arizona #Drought #ClimateChange #AssetClass #WealthManagement #InstitutionalInvesting #PrivateCapital #SEC #Business #Finance #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #GenerationalCapital #WaterInvesting Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Family offices are increasingly acquiring funeral homes as a stable, recession-resistant asset class. In this episode, Lucas and Luna examine the economics behind this trend, from the aging demographics driving demand to the fragmented market ripe for consolidation. They discuss how funeral homes offer predictable cash flows, inflation protection, and low correlation to public markets, making them attractive for long-term capital. The conversation covers the operational challenges, including regulatory hurdles and the need for a personal touch, and why this 'death care' sector appeals to patient, multigenerational investors. With a growing number of baby boomers passing away, the funeral home industry is seeing steady growth, but it's not without its complexities. #FamilyOffices #FuneralHomes #DeathCare #AlternativeAssets #WealthManagement #GenerationalCapital #RecessionResistant #Consolidation #Demographics #BabyBoomers #Investing #Business #FinancialPlanning #LongTermInvesting #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #FamilyOfficeInvesting #PrivateWealth Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode of Family Office Conversations, Lucas and Luna explore the quiet but accelerating move by family offices into farmland. They anchor the conversation to a real number: institutional and family office farmland assets under management have grown to nearly $80 billion globally, a jump of about 20 percent since 2020. Lucas breaks down the structural drivers — from a finite supply of arable land to the rising demand for food from a growing global middle class — and walks through a concrete example: the decision by a $2 billion single-family office in the Midwest to allocate 5 percent of its portfolio to a mix of row-crop and permanent-crop farmland across Nebraska, California, and Uruguay. They also dig into the operational realities: farmland is not a passive investment. It demands local managers, agronomy expertise, and a long time horizon. Luna challenges the 'land as gold' narrative, pointing to crop price volatility and water rights risks. The episode closes on a forward-looking note: will the next generation of family wealth see farmland as a hedge or as a mission-driven way to address food security? #FamilyOffice #Farmland #Agriculture #WealthManagement #GenerationalWealth #AlternativeAssets #RealAssets #FoodSecurity #PrivateInvesting #SustainableInvesting #LandInvestment #Agribusiness #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #WealthPodcast #InvestmentStrategy #FarmlandInvesting #PortfolioDiversification Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Family offices are moving into healthcare consolidation, and one of the fastest-growing targets is independent physician practices. In this episode, Lucas and Luna look at why wealthy families are buying up doctor groups, from dermatology to cardiology, and what it means for patients and physicians. They break down the economics behind the trend, including how private equity and family offices differ in their approach, the role of management service organizations, and the specific appeal of recurring revenue and demographic tailwinds. The hosts examine a concrete example of a dermatology practice roll-up, discuss the backlash from physicians who feel trapped by corporate ownership, and consider what this means for the future of healthcare delivery. They also touch on the regulatory environment and how some family offices are taking a longer-term, more patient approach than PE firms. Tune in for a sharp look at a quiet but powerful shift in American medicine. #FamilyOffices #PhysicianPractices #HealthcareInvesting #DoctorConsolidation #Dermatology #PrivateEquity #MSO #HealthCareBusiness #BusinessPodcast #FexingoBusiness #WealthManagement #GenerationalCapital #MedicalPractices #HealthcareTrends #InvestingInMedicine #LucasAndLuna #Fexingo #Business Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
