Ep. 26 - You Can't Be What You Can't See with Kirsty Lamb
Childhood mate and AFLW player Kirsty Lamb catches up with Ben and shares her story from junior sport through to becoming a professional athlete with the Port Adelaide Football Club today. Initially Kirsty was the only girl playing with the boys until that was taken away and she had to find other pathways in sport. Cricket seemed like the sport that had the most open doors for women so she focused on pursuing a career in cricket until the announcement of AFLW presented an opportunity to turn what had always seemed like a dream that would never come true into reality. Sport has taught Kirsty plenty along the way and there is so much that she has learned in elite sport that we can all relate to in life.
