Footage Foreplay
#206 - Mason Heller (A Wicked Crime, Nightmare Movies)
In this episode, Terrell and Russell talk with Mason, creator of the YouTube channel Nightmare Movies , about how he went from sharing horror discoveries on TikTok to editing for major creators and making his own feature film. They get into why found footage remains one of horror’s most immersive genres, how A Wicked Crime came together through a scrappy, stop-start production, and how Mason directed performances that feel true to influencer culture and crime documentaries.
