  Freshet Friday - September 25, 2026

  Sep 25, 202639 minS1

Welcome to our September 25, 2026 Freshet Friday podcast. To absolutely no-one's surprise, we have a heavy focus on not one, but two, different elections that are somehow happening simultaneously. Candidates running in the October 17th local government elections are now competing for attention with candidates for the October 24th provincial election. And that has definitely gotten our attention. Also this week, we'll talk about the sad passing of former New Westminster city councilor and Citizen of the Year Lorrie Williams, how three mid-century houses originally built in Coquitlam homes will find a new life in Haida Gwaii and why we're able to feature more unbearably cute videos of bear cubs from Tri-Cities again this week. We'll also have a feature interview with Jennifer McKinnon of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce about the 2026 Business Showcase they will be hosting next month. We hope you enjoy the episode!
