Frugal Living with Fexingo is the show where Lucas and Luna talk about something almost no one wants to discuss in polite company: how to spend less money without feeling miserable about it. Each episode is a calm, concrete conversation about a specific cost-cutting tactic or mindset shift, grounded in real numbers — the actual savings from cooking dried beans vs. canned, the real-world failure rate of extreme couponing, the hidden costs of subscription services that pile up unnoticed. Lucas, with his journalist’s precision, asks the hard questions: Is buying in bulk always cheaper? What does a no‑spend month actually do to your social life? Luna, always the engaged interlocutor, pushes back with her own experience of living below her means in a high‑cost city, and together they test strategies against real household budgets. They never preach deprivation; they explore what you truly miss when you cut something out. The show is for anyone who feels a quiet anxiety around money but does

Aug 21, 20267 minS4
In this episode of Frugal Living with Fexingo, Lucas and Luna dig into a savings angle that most homeowners miss: the deductible on their home insurance. They share a real-world scenario where a family saved nearly $400 a year by raising their deductible from $500 to $2,500—and the math behind why it makes sense for many, but not all. They cover the key questions to ask your insurer, the 'deductible vs. premium' trade-off, and the importance of an emergency fund to cover the higher out-of-pocket cost. If you've ever wondered whether adjusting your deductible is worth it, this episode gives you a practical framework to decide. Plus, they touch on how to shop around for better rates and when to stay put. Why Warehouse Clubs Sell Cheap Gas and How to Use It
Aug 19, 20267 minS4
In this episode of Frugal Living with Fexingo, Lucas and Luna dig into a perk that often gets overlooked: discounted fuel at warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam's Club. They break down the real savings — often 20 to 50 cents per gallon versus local stations — and walk through the math on whether a membership pays for itself if you only buy gas. They also cover practical tips: timing your fill-ups, using the right payment method, and the hidden trade-offs like lines and location. Plus, they discuss how to stack discounts with cash-back apps and why it's worth checking the price at your club even if you don't shop there regularly. If you're trying to cut monthly expenses without giving up much, this episode gives you a concrete strategy to save on one of the biggest variable costs in your budget. #WarehouseClubs #GasSavings #Costco #SamsClub #FrugalLiving #BudgetTips #PersonalFinance #MoneySaving #FuelCosts #MembershipValue #CashBack #SmartSpending #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Finance #ThriftyLiving #EverydaySavings #CostCutting Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Lucas and Luna tackle a topic that often scares off frugal parents: cloth diapers. With the average baby going through thousands of diapers before potty training, the cost adds up fast. But is switching to cloth really worth it? Lucas breaks down the numbers, from the upfront cost of a stash to the hidden expenses of extra laundry, while Luna shares her own trial run and the surprising convenience factor. They also weigh the environmental impact and the resale value of gently used cloth diapers. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of whether cloth diapers can save you money without driving you crazy. If you're expecting or know someone who is, this episode is a must-listen before you stock up on disposables. #ClothDiapers #FrugalParenting #BabyBudget #DiaperCosts #SaveOnDiapers #EcoFriendly #ParentingOnABudget #FrugalLiving #Finance #MoneySavingTips #ZeroWaste #ReusableBaby #NewParents #Budgeting #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #MoneyTalks Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode of Frugal Living with Fexingo, Lucas and Luna drill into a common frugal mistake: buying in bulk to save money, only to end up spending more. They break down the psychology behind bulk purchases, the math of cost per unit, and the hidden costs of storage, waste, and clutter. Using a concrete example of a family who saved $200 a year by stopping bulk buys of perishables, they explore when bulk buying actually makes sense—like for non-perishables with a long shelf life—and when it's a trap. They also discuss the 'bulk illusion' of warehouse clubs and how to avoid the sunk-cost fallacy. If you've ever bought a giant jar of mayo that went bad, this episode is for you. Tune in to learn how to make smarter purchasing decisions and keep your budget intact. #BulkBuying #FrugalLiving #BudgetTips #SaveMoney #CostPerUnit #WarehouseClubs #SunkCostFallacy #FoodWaste #PersonalFinance #MoneyMindset #SmartShopping #ConsumerPsychology #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Finance #Frugal #Budgeting #Savings Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
