From Surviving to Speaking Out: Ann Siljanovski’s Story of Reclaiming Her Life
For most of her life, Ann Siljanovski lived through horrific sexual abuse, domestic violence, and the slow destruction of her self-worth and identity. While raising six children, Ann became disconnected from who she was. Years of trauma had taught her to survive, but survival came at the cost of her voice, her confidence, and her sense of self. In this deeply powerful episode, Ann shares how she began rebuilding her life, reclaiming her identity, and discovering that her story did not have to end with what had been done to her. After completing the Phoenix Program, Ann has gone on to share her story through television interviews, news networks, podcasts, and public speaking. She now works alongside the Salvation Army, supporting other women who are facing the kinds of circumstances she once believed she would never escape. This is not simply a story of surviving abuse. It is a story of transformation, purpose, courage, and a woman choosing to become visible again.
