Episode #78
Are you utilizing what you learned?
Summary The Confidence to Endure is a reminder that our faith is not only for the good and comfortable seasons of life it is especially important during our trials, challenges, disappointments, and times of uncertainty. It is easy to say that we trust God when everything is going according to plan, but difficult seasons give us an opportunity to exercise the faith we say we have. Just as Noah, Joseph, Moses, David, and others in Scripture endured difficult circumstances by trusting God, we can find the strength to keep going by placing our confidence in Him. Endurance does not mean that we will never become tired, discouraged, or emotional. It means that despite what we feel or see, we make the decision not to give up. We continue praying, believing, trusting, and taking the next step. Our circumstances may change, but God does not. When we are led by Christ instead of fear, we can remind ourselves that this too shall pass. The difficult chapter we are experiencing today is not the end of our story. God can use our trials to strengthen our faith, develop our character, increase our wisdom, and prepare us for what is ahead. Ultimately, our confidence to endure comes from knowing that God is still sovereign, God is still faithful, God is still working, and God is still with us. Takeaways Exercise your faith during difficult seasons. Trials are often where our faith becomes stronger. Never give up. You may become tired, but you can rest, pray, regroup, and continue moving forward. Keep your eyes on God instead of your circumstances. What you see today does not determine what God can do tomorrow. Do not allow fear to lead you. Let your faith in Christ guide your thoughts, decisions, and responses. Remember what God has already brought you through. Your previous victories can give you confidence for today’s battle. Trust God’s timing. Some prayers take time, some healing happens gradually, and some doors do not open immediately. Look for growth in the struggle. Ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me through this season?” Believe that this too shall pass. Difficult seasons are chapters; they do not have to become the entire story of your life. Keep praying. Prayer gives us strength, peace, wisdom, and the confidence to endure. Your endurance can become someone else’s encouragement. One day, your testimony may help another person believe that they can make it too. Key Points Faith must be exercised. We cannot only proclaim that we trust God when life is good. Our faith becomes especially important when we cannot see how things are going to work out. Endurance requires confidence in God. Our confidence is not based on our circumstances. It comes from knowing who God is and remembering His faithfulness. You can be tired without giving up. Rest if necessary. Cry if necessary. Pray as often as necessary. But do not allow a difficult moment to make you surrender your faith. Temporary circumstances should not create permanent discouragement. What you are experiencing today can change. Keep reminding yourself: “This too shall pass.” God can use the struggle. Romans 5:3-4 reminds us that suffering can produce perseverance, character, and hope. Something may be developing within you while you are going through something around you. Keep looking to Jesus. Hebrews 12 teaches us to run our race with endurance while looking to Jesus. We do not have to understand everything we simply have to continue trusting the One who does.
