Just Common Sense | 181 | Seminary in a Suitcase II: Back from Bolivia
Pastor Dale Paschall traveled to Bolivia to teach pastors. But after the teaching was finished, another assignment was waiting. In this episode of Just Common Sense, Dr. Johnny Hunter and Pat welcome Pastor Dale back from his first overseas mission trip for Part Two of “Seminary in a Suitcase.” Dale shares stories from Santa Cruz and Cochabamba—from adjusting to life at 8,000 feet in the Andes and experiencing Bolivian culture to working through an interpreter and watching pastors and their families arrive after long workdays for hours of biblical training. The team began with MyCircle training, equipping believers to have Gospel conversations with the people already around them. Then came five nights of IBAC training, where Dale and the team helped teach the doctrine of the Holy Spirit to local pastors and believers. But one of the most memorable moments happened after Dale thought his teaching assignment was finished. A local pastor invited him to visit a prison for young men ages 14–17. Dale shared his testimony, taught from 1 Timothy 4:12 and reminded them that their present circumstances didn't prevent them from living for God. By the end of the visit, 18 young men had come forward and professed faith in Jesus. It's a conversation about missions, discipleship and what can happen when Christians take the Great Commission seriously enough to simply say yes to the next opportunity.
