Aug 18, 202658 min
We have much to go over from pro basketball to more on Tony Romo and CBS drama, plus the WNBA continues to self inflicted issues and what about college football preseason polls? We discuss it all on the latest "LWOS Media Podcast!" Host T.J. Rives welcomes back Jason Powers of the "Powers on Sports Podcast" with more on all of it. It's been a wild week for the NBA off the court, as the Lakers are being sold, AGAIN, this time 11 months later for another record $12.5 Billion or quick $2.5 Billion profit. But, there are lots of moving parts and controversy about it, including current managing partner Jeanie Buss fighting the sale and her own family to remain in her position. Also, the Clippers still have a mess with whether owner Steve Balmer and the front office circuvented the salary cap to keep star Kwahi Leonard under contract five years ago or not? ESPN reports that the team and owner won't be punished, but others say not so fast? Also, Leonard is supposedly traded back to the Toronto Raptors... or is he? The guys also go over CBS getting ready for the start of the NFL season without Tony Romo as lead analyst, for now, and maybe, for good. Also, there's plenty of talk on golf and CBS showing Scottie Scheffler's latest romp in a PGA Tour playoff win in Memphis. Plus, is this truly the end for the LIV Golf ttour at their final event in Indianapolis? And, there's discussion on Caitlin Clark and the WNBA and the uselessnes of college football preseason polls and what coaches might be on the "hot seat" from a prominent program already? Hear it all on the "LWOS Media Podcast" and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!

Kyle Shanahan 49ers Situation Updated + Vindicated Aaron Rodgers Fires Back On ESPN | LWOS Media Daily
Aug 6, 20268 min
From our latest podcast, we have two NFL media storylines that are still intriguing with training camps getting underway. Host T.J. Rives and Tyler Jones of Roundtable Sports and "The Jones Report" Podcast first discuss the situation with 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan, who is still recovering from his serious traffic accident in Palo Alto, CA, last month. More details have emerged, but Shanahan has yet to comeback to coach the team full time, met with all the media and the cameras and there are still unanaswered questions. Next, in Pittsburgh, controversial QB Aaron Rodgers went on the verbal attack Monday on the live "Pat McAfee Show" from traning camp to basically take a vindicated "victory lap" about his stances on the Covid 19 virus and required shots. He not only taunted embattled health worker Anthony Fauci for having taken the 5th ammendment 100 times at a Senate hearing, but also, took shots at ESPN, the very platform McAfee broadcasts on weekdays. Tyler and T.J. discuss the ramifications for ESPN and how much more motivated is the 42 year old Rodgers to continue this attitude, etc.? It's all on this edition of the "LWOS Media Daily" and make sure to follow/subscribe to this feed on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.

Aug 3, 202648 min

Rives returns with regular guest Tyler Jones of Roundtable Sports and the "Jones Report Podcast" to go over it all. They disucuss: Tony Romo gonna be gone from CBS after his DUI arrest and humiliating police video? Or does he get a way back to the #1 booth? The Kyle Shanahan/49ers car crash story is revisited for the Journalim vs. team's controlling what "info insiders" say and when they say it? Aaron Rodgers blasts numerous peopls from Steelers training camp Monday on the Pat McAfee show, including Anthony Fauci and the Covid 19 coverup and lying. We discuss. Then, the WNBA just can't get out of it's own way, as the controversy grows with Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham over her comments about young men not playing in women's sports. At every turn this league does the wrong thing. Plus, what is Boston College doing firing their long time basketball radio crew after the brand new coach Luke Murray refused to even meet them and doesn't want anything associated with the previous losing of the program?
