Episode #41
The Spiritual Side of Aging, Caregiving & Death
Today we’re joined by Cathrine Noble Heart, who has spent decades exploring what it truly means to live, heal, age, and die well. Catherine is a nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist in geriatrics and adult psychiatric mental health nursing, with extensive experience in intensive care, emergency medicine, home health, nursing homes, behavioral health, and hospice. Her work has given her a deeply compassionate understanding of the challenges faced by older adults, families, and caregivers. But Catherine’s search for healing has taken her far beyond conventional medicine. She has explored energy work, hypnosis, Buddhist psychology, ancestral healing, mediumship, shamanic and Indigenous healing traditions, and the spiritual teachings of many cultures. Today, she sees herself as a gentle guide—helping people navigate aging, illness, caregiving, and the end of life with greater understanding, meaning, personal agency, and peace. Today, we’re going to explore what healing can look like when the goal isn’t necessarily to cure, but to find meaning, connection, and peace along the journey.
