What if the thing draining your energy isn't your workload, but the weight of all the conversations you're avoiding? In this thought-provoking episode, Victoria Mensch sits down with wealth advisor and former lawyer Elke Rubach to explore what money really reveals about our lives. Working with high-net-worth families and business owners, Elke has learned that financial challenges are rarely about dollars and cents. They're about fear, family dynamics, control, communication, and the hidden mental load people carry every day. Together, they unpack why so many successful people delay important conversations, how unspoken assumptions create unnecessary stress, and what it means to get your financial house in order truly. The result is not just better planning, but greater peace of mind, clarity, and connection. In this episode: • Why financial conversations are almost never really about money • The hidden cost of avoiding difficult family discussions • How fear and control can quietly shape major life decisions • Why slowing down is often the fastest path forward • What it means to create harmony instead of simply accumulating wealth This conversation is a powerful reminder that peace of mind doesn't come from having everything figured out. It comes from creating space to face what's important, one honest conversation at a time. If you've been carrying more than anyone realizes, this episode offers a gentle invitation to slow down, open up, and begin building the clarity and harmony you deserve.
