What Does Your Life Say About God? | Ezekiel 3:16 27, 4 5 | Pastor Dave Hentschel
In Ezekiel 3–5, Pastor Dave Hentschel explores the unusual calling of Ezekiel to receive, proclaim, and ultimately embody the Word of God. Through the image of the watchman and a series of dramatic prophetic signs, God confronts Israel with the seriousness of their rebellion. They had been called to bear His name before the nations, but their lives were communicating something very different about the God they claimed to worship. That same question confronts us today: What does your life communicate about the God whose name you bear? Because we belong to Christ, how we speak, live, forgive, love, and respond to others matters. Yet our hope is not simply to try harder or represent God perfectly in our own strength. Jesus is the faithful Son who perfectly honored the Father, bore the judgment our sin deserved, and gives His Spirit to make us new. Because we bear God’s name, how we live matters—and because we belong to Christ, we have everything we need to represent Him faithfully.
